Main Street business and civic life share the same blocks. Town Hall sits a short walk from the shops, and the historic homes of the Delaware City Historic District line the streets around it.

Brick Delaware City Town Hall, an 1883 schoolhouse with yellow shutters and a flagpole

Town Hall

Built in 1883 as the Delaware City School, this brick building taught grades one through twelve until the new school opened at Fifth and Bayard in 1930. It served later as a parish hall, and the city acquired it for Town Hall in 1969.
